Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify the level of perception of the organizational climate of the maintenance employees of the workshop of a mining company in San Luis Potosí, as well as to determine the relationship of the perception on the dimensions of the organizational climate according to their sociodemographic characteristics. It is a quantitative approach study, with a descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional scope, it was integrated by 78 employees, applying a census, involving 100% of the employees of the maintenance area, the personnel was classified according to their job position as: Chief, Supervisor, Mechanic, Welder and Auxiliary mechanic. The applied technique was the self-administered survey, using the Brown & Leigh instrument (1996), the reliability of the instrument was 0.875.

It was found that the level of climate is acceptable according to the employees of the mining company, highlighting the dimensions of work as challenge and clarity of the role, the dimensions with a lower average were recognition and expression of one's feelings, although all had an average above 3 points. There was also a correlation between some dimensions of the organizational climate with age and seniority in the company.
